Let the trip begin

Yesterday we started our trip to Maryland. This year we decided to go a completely different way so that we could visit a new set of campgrounds on our way up and then again on our way back. The trip back will include a stop in Elkhart, IN to have our camper repaired by Heartland RVs. We will have to stay in a hotel while the repairs are being done. While there we hope to get a tour of the factory to see how these campers are put together.

The trip has been uneventful so far and I hope that it stays that way. Our white 18 year old cat hasn’t even thrown up yet. Anyone who has read any of the previous blogs about us traveling with the cat, knows that she is prone to throwing up when we first start out on a trip. Perhaps she has gotten over being truck sick?

The first leg of our trip took us to Oklahoma City last night. We stayed at a very nice RV park there. It is the type of RV park that I like to stay at most of the time. Today we left Oklahoma City and stopped here in Richland, MO. We are staying at a very rustic RV park on the banks of the Gasconade River. I’ve never heard of it either! This is a very small park with only 29 RV sites. All of the sites are grass as opposed to the nice concrete sites in Oklahoma City.

Tomorrow we will head for Terre Haute, IN and stay at the KOA there.

This is where we stayed in Oklahoma City.
