This RV park is located about 36 miles north of Jackson Hole, WY and about 8 miles east of the south entrance to Grand Teton National Park. They are 6 miles east of the junction of US 191/89 and US 26/287 which is also the community of Moran Junction. If you are coming from the east on US 26/287 you have to cross the Continental Divide at Togwotee Pass, elevation 9658 ft. You will loose 2850 ft on the descent. The grade is 6% for about 17 miles. We came that way last time and had no problems with our 36 ft Everest 5th wheel.
The park has 174 campsites with 66 of them being pull thrus. They have full hookups with 30/50 amps but not all of them have 50 amps. For the most part this isn't a problem since they are at 6800 ft elevation. There are tent sites available as well as cabins. The office/store has some groceries, camping supplies, fishing licenses and gas/diesel. They have a heated pool and spa, enclosed rec hall and game room and a play area for kids. However, unless they have done some work since our last visit some of these amenities need some rehab.
We have been to this park twice and can tell you that they need to take the word resort out of the name. However, that is my opinion and I would let you be the judge of that. The parking sites really need to be worked over. We had a hard time leveling in our site and other people had the same problem. We were disappointed in the condition of the campground the first year that we went but we came back because it is really hard to beat the location and the view. What a great view we had of the Grand Teton Mountains. This is a very bucolic setting becasue you are in the country and 36 miles from nowhere. It is hard to describe the beauty of being up early and watching the sun rise bathing the Tetons in the morming light. Most of the mornings you will here geese honking and see them flying. It is really a very peaceful setting so I can forgive the campground of their short comings.
Obviously there are a lot of things to do in this part of our country. From the campground, you have easy access to Jackson Hole, The Grand Teton National Park, Yellowstone National Park, fishing, hiking, animal sittings, bird watching or just plain relaxing in a gorgeous setting. For those so inclined there are several horseback riding stables. We used the Heart 6 ranch which is within sight of the campground. We had the best horse back ride that we have ever experienced with them.
Although this campground is lacking in quality, we recommend it for its great location.

Grand Teton National Park
Yellowstone National Park
There is a great hiking trail around Jenny Lake. Plan on arriving early if you want a place to park at the info center. It is very popular.
You don't have to stay at the ranch to ride horses.
Call for times. They offer great rides.
Rafting and Float Trips
There are a number of guided float and white water rafting trips available.
There are a number of guides to take you fishing or there are plenty of places to fish on your own as I did.
There is a weekly rodeo in Jackson and occasionally they have one mid week.
Have you visited a campground of any kind that you liked and wish to share that experience with the camping community? Contact us here and we will make sure that it is posted on this web site.
