This KOA campground is located about 20 minutes south of Pueblo Colorado on Interstate 25 in Colorado City, CO.  To get to it take exit 74 either north or south off of Interstae 25 and go east to the service road and then turn south to the entrance.  The interior roads are gravel and in good condition.

The campground has 84 sites with full hookups.  Some of the sites only have 30 amp service with others having 30/50 amp service.  The campground has two sections, with some of the sites in one section being fairly close together.  However, the section that we stayed in had fairly wide sites.  They have 4 tent sites and 6 rental units.  Their ammenities include a play area which also has basketball hoops, a small minature golf course, a game room, a meeting room, a gold fish pond with a lot of gold fish, a heated swimming pool and spa and a horse shoe pitching area.  Each RV campsite has TV service, a picnic table and there is WiFi available.  The store has some RV supplies and there is metered LP gas.  They are pet friendly and have a nice enclosed pet play area.

The campground is at 5800 feet elevation and sits up on a hill giving a nice view of the mountains to the west and south.  We enjoyed our one night visit and would stay there again if it fit our driving schedule.  If you want a place to just kick back and relax for a few days, this would be a good place to do it.  In fact, they are building a new social hall that will include a kitchen, and large meeting room that will be handicap accessible.  The slab was poured while we were there and perhaps by the time you visit the facility will be completed.  It will be a nice facility for clubs or groups that might want to have a rally in the area.

Another thing that is worth mentioning is that they have planted a very large area in front of the campground with Iris flowers.  I'm sure that when they bloom, it makes a beautiful sight because there are hundreds of them.  We give this campground a thumbs up!
