Tall Pines RV Park is located just east of Shreveport, LA on interstate 20.  To get to the park take exit 8 and turn south.  At the next intersection, take W 70th Street to the left.  Go about 1 mile and the park will be on your left.

This campground has 83 RV sites with picnic tables.  Not all sites are 30/50 amp electricity but they all have water and sewer.  If you need a 50 amp connection you should call ahead to reserve one.  The campground offers cabin rentals as well as tent camping spaces.  The restrooms and laundry facility are clean and well kept.  Their ammenities include a play area, a swimming pool and spa, rv supplies, propane, cable TV to most of the sites, and a pond with a nice pet area adjacent to the pond.
 
We stopped at this park on our way to Maryland and we are glad that we did.  It is a very nice campground and we recommend it as a place to stay if you are in Shreveport.  The owners, Tom and Tracy Landis, are very camper friendly.  They truly have the interest of the camping community in mind.  They are making some improvements that include extending the current building and adding a small restaurant that will serve breakfast and other light meals.

If you are traveling down Interstate 20 and need a campground for and overnight, then we recommend Tall Pines.  Perhaps you are going to Shreveport to donate money to one of the casinos, or for any other activity there, then this is the place to stay.
