Buckhorn Lake Resort is located in Kerrville, Texas just off I-10. To get to the resort/RV park from I-10 take exit 501. Coming from the west you will be coming down a fairly steep grade as you exit onto the feeder road. Turn left under the freeway onto Goat Creek Road. The entrance is less than a mile on the left. Coming from the east turn right onto Goat Creek Road and go less than a mile to the entrance on the left. The roads into and in the campground are all paved. The sites have concrete pads with picnic tables at each site. There are 131 full hookups with 30/50 amp electricity. I would call all of the sites big rig sites. There are also 3 rental units. No tents allowed.
Amenities: This is one of the nicest RV campground/resorts that we have ever visited. Along with the other amenities that they offer, their cable system is set up like a hotel. There is an information channel (2) to tell you what is going on as well as a merchants & attractions channel (3). Also, they offer nightly movies on three different channels. They offer planned activities throughout the year and have their own bus to take guest to special events. They also offer an adults only area of the campground where they have 20 sites. This is truly a beautiful campground/resort. Contact: 800-568-6458 Submitted by Jane & Brad
