The Cheyenne KOA is located just off I-80 in Cheyenne, WY. Coming from the west, take exit 367, which is 8 miles from the intersection of I-25 and I-80. Go north a very short distance to Archer Frontage Road. Take a right to the campground. Coming from the east, take exit 367 and do the same. The camping signs will lead the way.
This is a relatively small campground with only 42 RV sites available. The road into the campground is paved but all of the sites are gravel. Twenty seven of the sites have full hoopups with water, sewer, cable and electricty (30/50 amp). Five of the sites have water, electricy only. Ten of the sites have water, electricty and cable available. As with any KOA, there are kabins available with 6 of them offered here. There are also 11 tent sites available for those who like to tent kamp.
The amenities here include a swimming pool, playground, horseshoes, basketball, pee wee golf, and a gift shop in the office. There are showers and bathrooms, and a laundry facility, all of which are clean and well kept. Propane is available and there is a dump station on the way out of the campground. A very nice feature for those who tent camp is the pavilion. The pavilion offers stovetops, sinks and a microwave for preparing food. Free wireless internet is also available.
This is a very nice KOA campground. It's location on the intersate makes it a nice overnight campground. Because it is nice and clean, I would recommend it if you wanted to stay in Cheyenne for an extended period of time.
The campground can be contacted at: 307-638-8840
