Colorado Springs KOA is located in Fountain, Colorado just on the south side of Colorado Springs, Colorado on I-25. From I-25 take exit 132 and go east to Brandley Drive (the service road). Go south on Brandley for about 1 mile and the campground is on the left. The entrance to the campground is paved but all interior roads and pads are gravel and in good condition. The campground is on Fountain Creek so some of the sites are located so that you have a view of the creek. There are 202 RV sites with 154 pullthrus. The remainder are backins. Forty seven sites are water and electric only and 155 have sewer connections. Sixty seven sites have 30/50 amp electricy and the remainder with electricty are 30 amp only. They have 29 tent sites and 31 rental units. Seven of the tent sites are called deluxe because they have a roof over the site. For those campers who travel with horses, they have three corrals at the south end of the campground.
Amenities: This is a large and very nice campground that offers something for any type of camper, including corrals for horses. Most of the sites are large with the exception of the backins that are on the west side. They appear fairly small and I don't think you could get a large camper in any of them. In the main area of the campground, the shade is somewhat limited but there are some nice mature trees there. However in the area down by the creek there is a lot of shade but that area only has water and electricy. There is a very nice covered camping kitchen on the east side of the campground that overlooks the creek. On a seasonal basis, they have planned campground activities. This is a nice place to stop for an overnight or for a longer period to see the sights in and around Colorado Springs. Contact: 719-382-7575 Submitted by Brad & Jane
