Memphis
Marlowe's Ribs & Restaurant...Marlowe's is located close to Graceland at
4381 Elvis Presley Blvd. They offer very good Barbeque and Ribs along with a
menu of other very reasonably price items. The restaurant is adorned with a lot
Elvis Presly memorabilia. They offer free transportation in their pink Cadillacs from
the area hotels and the Memphis-Graceland RV Park & Campground. Call

Eureka Springs
Grandma's Beans & Cornbread.... We fell in love with this place. This is really good
home style cooking. They have a daily special that will hook you into going almost every
day because it is all good. The prices are very reasonable and the owner is very friendly.
They are located on Highway 62 East in the Pine Mountain Village just behind the Pine
Mountain Jamboree.
Main Street Cafe....This is another good place for home style cooking. We had lunch
here. They advertise that they hand pat their hamburger meat fresh everyday. My wife
had a very good hamburger and I had the best patty melt that I have ever eaten. I would
drive back to Eureka Springs just to get a patty melt.
Myrtie Maes Restaurant.....The food here was good but nothing special. The restaurant
is in a Best Western motel. It is very popular as we had to wait for awhile to get a table.
The menu is varied with an all you can eat salad bar. Prices are reasonable. They are
located at 207 West Van Buren.
Estes Park
Penelope's World Famous Burger & Fries.....Voted Best Burgers in Town
229 West Elkhorn.
Big Horn Restaurant......Family Meals at Family Prices
We've heard good things about their breakfast which is served until 2 PM. We've
only eaten here in the evening.
Mama Rose's Homemade Italian....Great Italian Food! This is probably our
favorite place to eat in Estes Park. Located 338 E. Elkhorn Ave in the Barlow
Plaza. The Big Thompson river flows behind the restaurant. They are open for
dinner at 4 PM. Some outside tables available and they take reservations.
The Other Side Restaurant.....Good family style food. Sunday buffet. Located in
National Park Village at corner of Moraine and Lake Mary's Road.
Smoking Dave's BBQ & Taphouse...Located at 820 Moraine Ave. This is a good
Barbeque restaurant that is reasonably priced. It is always crowded during the busy
tourist season. We usually eat here at least once per trip to Estes Park.
El Mex-Kal Family Mexican Restaurant - For not being in Texas, this is good
Mexican Food. This is a small restaurant located on the corner of 1st street and Saint
Vrain Street (also know as Colorado Highway 7). The food is reasonably priced.
Savannah
Uncle Bubba's Oyster House...Located at 104 Bryan Woods RD. Good
seafood plus other food if you don't like seafood. Really good corn muffins that are
served while you wait for your order. Nice outside eating area available.
Gettysburg
Dobbin House Tavern...Located at 89 Steinwehr Ave. Built in 1776. They offer
casual and fine dinning. We had a very good luch here.
Gettysburg Family Restaurant...Located at 1275 York Rd. Ste 5. Very convenient
to Drummer Boy Camping Resort. Good family style food.
Texas
Amarillo
Big Texan Steak Ranch...Located on I-40 east of downtown. This is the home
of the free 72oz steak if you can eat the whole thing in one hour. We have
eaten here one time. It was entertaining but we didn't think the food was any better
average.
Bandera
OST Restaurant....Located on Main St. Good family food. Everything that we
have eaten is good, including their Mexican Food. If you like Coconut Cream Pie,
they have the best around. Other homemade pies are also very good.
Busbee's Bar-B-Que...Located on Main St. Very good barbeque.

Boerne
Po-Po Family Restaurant...Located 6 miles north of Boerne at 829 FM 289. Take
exit 533 off of Interstate 10 and go about .5 mile. This is a very popular restaurant
offering good family style food in a country setting. A unique feature is the over
2100 dinner plates that decorate the walls and ceilings of the restaruant.
Comfort
Guenther's Biergarten-Grill....Located at Hwy 473 at 6th street behind the
Super S grocery store. They have daily specials at lunch that are served buffet
style. You can also order off the menu at lunch. Good food at reasonable prices.
High's Cafe and Store...Located at 726 Hight Street in the downtown historic
district. They serve
breakfast and lunch daily
. Very good soups and sandwiches.
814 A Texas Bistro...Located at 713 High Street in the downtown historic district.
They serve dinner on Wednesday thru Saturday from 6 pm to 9 pm and Sunday
brunch from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm. This is a small restaurant operaterd by
owner/chef Millard Kuykendall. Reservations are a good idea.
Corsicana
Collin Street Bakery...Located on I-45 in Corsicana. Good place to stop for
lunch and for good bakery items. Sandwichs and soups only.
Concan
Neal's Lodges Dinning Room...Very nice place to eat breakfast but all of their food
is good. They are closed during the winter months.
Fredericksburg
Alamo Springs Cafe...This cafe is located 10.5 miles south of Fredericksburg but
has a Fredericksburg address. The address is 107 Alamo Road. They are in the
middle of nowhere but it is worth the trip for the burgers. They were voted to have
one of the 3 best hamburgers by the "Texas Monthly Magazine". Although known
for their burgers, they have other good food as well as nightly dinner specials. Check

Junction
...
La Familia Restaurant...This is a good Mexican Food restaurant. We eat here
every time we stay in Junction at the Junction KOA campgound. The lady who
owns this restaurant makes the best Pecan Pralines that I have ever eaten. Located
on Main Street north of I-10.
Cooper's Bar-B-Q & Grill...This is a good Barbeque place. Not the best barbeque
that I've eaten, but not bad. Located on Main Street just south of I-10.
Leakey
Mama Chole's...This is a small Mexican Food restaurant on Highway 83. Because
it is small, it gets crowded at times but it is worth the wait. We have eaten here
a number of times while staying at Parkview Riverside RV Park just down the road
in Concan. We have even driven over from the Farm Country RV Park in Medina
to eat dinner there.
Tarpley
Mac & Ernies Roadside Roadside Eatery.....Great little place to eat. Check
out the web site for info.
Utopia
Lost Maples Cafe.....This cafe is located at 384 Main Street. Main is also known as
Ranch Road 187. This is a good place to stop to eat if you are doing a drive through
Texas Hill Country. Ranch Road 187 runs north and south from Sabinal to Utopia
to Vanderpool and Lost Maples State Natural Area. They serve a very good Chicken
Fried Steak as well as Hamburgers and other good food.
Camp Verde
Camp Verde General Store.....A great place for lunch. They doe not serve
breakfast or dinner. Check the

Kerrville
The Lakehouse ....Located on the Guadalupe River at intersection of Highway
27 and Spur 98. Great catfish and other good food.
Mamacita's Mexican Restaurant...Located at 215 Junction Highway( Highway 27).
This is very good Mexican Food.
Rockport
Charlotte Plummer's Seafare Restaurant...Located at 202 N. Fulton Beach Road.
Very good seafood. Seating on two floors with tables that overlook the bay.
Westminister
Baugher's Family Restaurant .... This restaurant is part of a farmer's market. They
offer good Home Cooking. We have eaten there several times for breakfast and
dinner.
South Dakota
Hill City
Alpine Inn...Hill City is a little north of Mt. Rushmore. This restaurant is very popular
with a limited menu. The food was very good
Gulf Shores
Original Oyster House....This is a great place for seafood in Gulf Shores. Located at
701 Hwy 59 overlooking scenic "Big Lagoon". This is a very kid friendly restaurant.
Scott
Fezzo's (Seafood, Steakhouse and Oyster Bar).... Fezzo's is located at 720 I-10 S Frontage Road.
Scott, LA is about 7 miles west of Lafayette, LA. We ate at Fezzo's when we stayed at the
Lafayette KOA . The food is reasonably priced a very good.
Sulphur
Hollier's Cajun Kitchen....Located 3 blocks north of I-10, Exit 20. This is very good food at a
reasonable price. They have a nightly buffet or you can order from the menu. They specialize in
Boiled Crawfish but also offer seafood and steaks, catfish (very good), oysters, frog legs and
Po Boys. They also have homemade smoked sausage & boudin. Bus and RV parking avialable.
Charleston
Sticky Fingers....This is a smokehouse/barbecue restaurant located downtown at
235 Meeting Street. We ate lunch there while visiting Historic Charleston. Very good
food at a reasonable price.
Fleet Landing Restaurant.....Located at 186 Concord Street in a 1940s retired naval
building. It juts out over the marsh and has over sized windows that offer an
unobstructed view of Charleston Harbor. They serve contemporary Southern
seafood. The food is very good and is priced at what you would expect at any nice
seafood restaurant. This is a very popular restaruant, so be prepared for a wait.
Smithfield
Holt Lake (Bar-B-Que & Seafood) ..... This restaurant specializes in Pork, Chicken &
Seafood. The food was good but nothing special. I had the chicken and my wife had
the pork. It is not far from the Smithfield KOA where we we staying for the night.
