Cherry Hill Park
Cherry Hill Park is located in College Park, Maryland. They bill themselves as being the closest RV park to Washington, DC. From I-95 south, take exit 29B(Calverton). This will put you on SR212. Go about 1.2 mile to Cherry Hill Road and make a left turn. Go about 1.1 mile to the campground on the right. From the Beltway, I-495/I-95, take exit 25 to US 1/Baltimore Ave. Turn left and go about .5 mile to Cherry Hill Road. Turn right and go about 1 mile to the campground on the left.
This is a very large campgound with 350 full hookup RV sites with 30/50 amp electricity. The interior roads are paved but the RV sites are gravel. All but 33 of the sites are backins. Almost all of the pull thrus are side-by-side hook ups and those sites are fairly narrow in width. There is a picnic table and a BBQ at each site. In addition to the RV sites, there are 50 tent sites and 12 rental units.
Large store at the office area
This is a very nice campground with a lot of nice amenities. It is nicely landscaped and well maintained. We were disappointed with the side-by-side hookup that we had and the fact that our site was very narrow. A lot of the sites aren't long enough to adequately park your tow vehicle and therefore gives a crowded feeling when the campground is full. However, the positives out weigh the few negatives in our opinion. This is the only campground that I have seen that will give you a refund if you decide to leave early. If you are planning a trip to Washington, DC, this is the place to be.
