On the road again

We have finally been able to break loose from the chores at home and come back to Medina, TX where we have our camper parked.  We will be bringing the camper home to get ready for some travel this spring and for the summer.  The rv park here, Farm Country RV Park,  is full.  This campground continues to grow in popularity as more people find out how nice it is out here in the Texas Hill Country.  All of the rv sites are very large and many have nice views of the hills.

On our way home we will be stopping in San Antonio and stay the night with some friends at Blazing Star Luxury RV Resort .  This rv park is located on Loop 1604 on the west side of San Antonio.  It is next door to Sea World of Texas and not very far from Fiesta Texas.  It is a short drive to downtown San Antonio if you want to go to the River Walk or just go downtown to eat.

Blazing Star Luxury Rv Resort is truly a very nice campground.  They have 248 paved sites with full hookups at each site.  They have a nice swimming pool, spa, clean restrooms and showers, enlcosed rec hall, rv supplies, play area for children, WiFi, picnic tables at each site, enclosed game room and planned activities.  They also have a shuttle service available.  This is one of the RV campgrounds that can put the word “Resort” in their name and it has meaning.  As I said earlier, they are conviently located to Sea World of Texas, Fiesta World and to downtown San Antonio.  San Antonio has done a nice job of making itself a tourist destination.

I’ve been to both of these campgrounds and they are very nice. The Farmcc is very spacious in the country. It is a nice quite campground. The Blazing Star is really nice but the sites are more typical of campgrounds but the location is nice. Very convienent to San Antonio river walk.
